I’m officially a homeowner!

This was my biggest blessing of 2022 and I’ve given myself a couple of months to digest and take it in!

Since 2010, I have lived & changed addresses at least 10 times in 3 countries. I’ve also hit the infamous $0 balance. Grateful to those who hosted me, those who declined and those who supported me financially.

I started 2022 with the mindset that I will rent for life so my motto was: “live your best life!” Halfway through the year while solo traveling, it all started to change. I felt like God was planting His desire in my heart and the more I thought about it the more I got confirmation and from others around me, nudging me in the same direction. Within a space of 2 months, the deal was sealed!

Over the past decade, the more adult decisions I’ve made, the more I’ve realized how great of a job my parents did with me. They are/were definitely not perfect, but they taught me a lot that money cannot buy; value that would outlast their presence and carry me on my own. My dad passed away 3 years ago and he never got to visit me in Canada or witness this. I called my mom recently to thank her for the job, she and my dad did at instilling in me discipline, competence and the ability to delay gratification. Her response to me was: “you were willing to learn”. ❤️

A big thank you to those that have contributed to this moment and the biggest protector I’ve always had (God), in knowing that I am loved and covered wherever I am. And to my friends that prayed, shared tips/advice and motivated me to make this happen, thank you! This one is for you all! 🥂
